  1. This is a test. I’ve just used the “guest pass” info to post this comment. My identity still remains annonymous. Happy Posting…

  2. Great blog site!

  3. Hello… followed you here from Twitter. Glad to find your blog. We have a new one here too; you’re invited to stop by. Nice to get acquainted with our “Twitter partners.” Sue at Anchorage Inn

  4. Chris, I would like to get a page count for Tear In Time as I am reading it on Kindle right now. I keep track of my page count along with the books I read. I am really enjoying the story so far. I purchased Endless Summer and What In Hell Is Up With Heaven as well. You write well.

    • Hi Jo Ann, Thank you SO much for your purchases. I am just thrilled you’re reading some of my work. Please let me know what you think or if you have any comments.

As for the word count on Tear in Time, it’s 91,000 words.

I’m not sure when you downloaded Endless Summer, but I just uploaded a professionally edited copy on 05/12/11. Please contact Amazon for the updated version.

If you have any trouble at all, please contact me at:

  5. The word count does not give me page count Chris… I log pages. I can count it myself but if you know it would be easier.

Actually I downloaded all those books today so I should have gotten the edited version of Endless Summer.

I am impressed at how well Tear in Time is written so far. I have had some bad experience with some eBooks being very poorly written.

I review on Goodreads, so when I finish I will post there. It may take me a bit to finish Tear in Time because I have several books started right now. However since I read on my Kindle when I walk my dog, I will be well entertained.

I lived in Chattanooga for a while so I know your setting… have skied the Tennessee River there and visited Signal Mountain. I love the setting in the Civil War period, because it is one of my favorite periods of history. Absolutely loving your book.

Thank you for writing so well. It is refreshing.

  6. Oh my gosh, I am so sorry… Brain F@rt – LOL.

The page count for Tear in Time (word doc, single spacing) is 222.

The page count for Endless Summer (word doc, etc) is 177

The page count for What in Hell… is about 180

Wow, you visited Signal Mountain? I passed up a chance to see it 2 years ago. Now I’m kicking myself. (work got in the way – I hate that … sigh)

I share you love of the Civil War. It compels me.

  7. I worked for a Kirby vacuum cleaner distributor while I lived in Chattanooga, so I traveled all over the Tennessee Valley area as well as North Georgia and Northeastern Alabama. Working door to door sales puts you in some interesting situations with the hillbillies of those areas. I have been run out of houses by irate husbands who came home while the wife was allowing me to do a demo, and the husbands got shotguns out to make their point. Interesting people up there.

Plus I visited battlefields because the Civil War is kinda my hobby, or it was back then. I don’t get out as much any more. I also visited Sand Mountain, Lookout Mountain, and camped on the Tennessee River. Those were my stomping grounds for a few years.

Now I live in Douglas County, Georgia. I’ve been to the major battlefields in Georgia too.

Have you read Harry Turtledove’s Guns of the South? It is alternative history where the South wins the Civil War.

It is nice having a conversation with you.

  8. Haven’t read anything yet. Saw you on Twitter. Trying to learn about your writing.

  9. Hi Christopher! I got a glimps of your Edless Summer. I don’t like ebook kindle or Ipad. I have to hold the book in my hands, but that’s just me. I like your style. The excerpt on Amazon is a great start and left me on the cliff, so I’m already a fan. I’ll leave a review. I have no idea where that family is going 100 years later and I have to know because I’m nosey. 🙂 Nice to meet you on twitter. Your sense of humor is much like mine.

    • Thanks for the kind words Joanne. I’m actually hoping to have all my books in print by the end of August (fingers crossed). Nice to meet you too. Let me know if you need help with anything (twitter/promotion). Always glad to lend a hand : )

  10. Mr Petersen:

Is it a coincidence that your character, David Warner, who is a time-travelling doctor bears the same name as another David Warner, who played a doctor who also traveled in time?

  11. I’m pleased to see quality writers like Chris Petersen using e-book platforms to publish their works. As the use of e-book reader devices grows, the quality writers will rise to the top. Old-fashioned, printed books will still be important, but their successs will be propelled and not hindered by e-books.

  12. Hey! Quick question that’s completely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My weblog looks weird when viewing from my apple iphone. I’m trying to
find a theme or plugin that might be able to correct this problem.
If you have any suggestions, please share. Cheers!

  13. Hey Chris, just recently read “Tear in Time” and I really enjoyed your writing. Loved the mix of time travel and the American Civil War. I work for a company called Booktrack(synchronized soundtracks for e-books or any kind of digital text) and we’re looking for a small group of writers to ensure that we have quality content for our new platform launch with Google. I think you’d be perfect for us and we’d get you great promotion for your work. Let me know if you’d be interested and feel free to shoot me an email.

    Best,
    Jake Espinueva
